Reporting & reporting time

So far as reporting is concerned we provide two options; detailed reports or concise statements as required.

Our detailed reports contain background information on the related scientific principles applicable to any particular case written in a manner readily understandable to the lay person.

Some of our clients prefer a concise statement. Our concise statements do not contain background information, nor do they discuss in great detail the circumstances of the case, statements or depositions that have been examined.

In many cases there is no need to examine items or scenes and in such cases we can undertake a paper study on the significance of existing scientific evidence.

The professional services provided by Spencer Research Limited are dependent on the timely provision of information, statements, etc. by those instructing us. The time from appointment to report is dependent upon many factors. Not least of which is the amount of material to be examined. Typically, this time is one to six weeks.

An many of our reports include colour images we provide our reports on CD-ROM in the Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF) to enable those instructing us to print further pristine copies as required. We include on the CD-ROM the Adobe Acrobat Reader installation software for those who do not currently have the Reader software and any other relevant data. For example, in cases involving mobile telephones we will include the user manual for the particular handset in PDF format if available.
