GPS examinations comprise the recovery of data from handheld or vehicle mounted
satellite navigation (GPS) units.
Data that can be recovered include routes
travelled, when travelled, speed of travel, direction of travel, way points (place marked of interest
by the user), images and photographs, and other data.
Routes previously travelled and stored on the SatNav can be rerun in simulated mode on Google Earth to give a bird's eye view of the journey.
