Sound Recording Digital Enhancement
We have recently upgraded and introduced new enhancement software that enables us to enhance sound recordings that were previously impossible to enhance. For example; we can now remove loud disco music and render conversations intelligible (ideal for those covert drugs operations).
The primary objective of sound enhancement is to render intelligible the spoken words.
Here are some before and after examples with descriptions of the source material and/or the type of problems typically encountered. Simply click on the before example and then the after example to hear the improvement in intelligibility of the spoken words.
BEFORE
AFTER
Enhanced recordings are placed onto Compact Disc for the best audio quality (and standard audio cassette if required). The CD can be replayed on any standard hi-fi CD player and computer. Following the enhancement process disputed spoken words and other sounds can often then be determined.

Sound Recording Authentication
There are occasions when the veracity of a recording is brought into question. We employ auditory, electronic and micrographic tools to determine whether a recording has been edited or otherwise tampered with. If you have a recording where the authenticity is in question we shall be able to test and report the likelihood of the recording being authentic.

Sound Playback Digital Speed Adjustment
Many security systems record audio at a non-standard speed and when played back on ordinary sound equipment plays too fast (Donald Duck) or too slow (elephant rumble) to be understood. We can digitally adjust the speed to normal so that it can be replayed on ordinary sound equipment.
Example Example After We can even adjust the playback speed of a tape that plays back at a non-linear speed, for example a tape that gradually gets faster and faster. This happens when the battery of a recording machine gradually become discharged.
